Man dies after being hit by semi and SUV on I-65
A Seymour, Indiana man was struck and killed while walking on Interstate 65, police said. A man from Seymour, Indiana was killed after being hit by a semi and an SUV on Interstate 65 late Sunday night. The incident occurred just before midnight, when a semi driver called 911 believing he hit someone walking in the southbound lanes near Austin, Indiana. A second vehicle hit the pedestrian as he walked northbound in the driving lane, a half-mile north of the first hit. The pedestrian, identified as Bryce Allen Sheaffer, was transported to a nearby hospital where he died. Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to be a factor in the crash.
