House Democrats say DOJ hiding Trump-Epstein assault evidence
A new report says 11 women have provided evidence of potential sex crimes Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee have accused the Justice Department of hiding evidence linking President Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of Florida state prostitution charges in 2008 and later charged with federal sex trafficking of minors in 2019. The report alleges that five women claim that Trump raped or sexually assaulted them in the presence or close company of Epstein in the 1990s. It also alleges that six other women reported attempts by Epstein or his confidante Ghislaine Maxwell to traffic them to Trump. The White House denied these allegations, calling them an attempt by Democrats to distract from their Republican momentum. The Democrats are demanding an independent special counsel to investigate and prosecute Epstein.
