More overnight road, ramp closures planned for I-71, Watterson this week
The $130 million road work project along the Watterson and US 42 continues with some ramp and road closures this week. More overnight road, ramp closures are planned for I-71, Watterson, and U.S. 42 in a $130 million road work project this week. Crews will close lanes and ramps on I-70 and I-264 overnight while they install supports for the I-271 South ramp bridge to I-263 West. Beginning at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, to 6 a.m., the I71 South ramp to I264 West (Exit 5) will be closed. This area will reopen again on Wednesday night. The project is expected to be completed by Fall 2027.
