Stevie Wonder's Piano, Helen Keller's Desk & the Louisville Museum Where Every Guest Gets to Touch History

Touch Stevie Wonder's piano, explore Helen Keller's personal artifacts, and experience a museum unlike any other. Louisville's The Dot Experience is changing what accessibility looks and feels like. The Dot Experience, an initiative of Louisville's American Printing House for the Blind (APH), has been described as the world's first fully inclusive museum. The museum's director, Darrick Wood, promises that all visitors can enjoy the same inclusive experience regardless of their physical limitations. The building includes accessibility features such as wide doors, low-pile carpet, lower countertop levels, and cutouts under the desk to accommodate mobility aides. The event space, The Heart, can accommodate up to 150 guests for meetings, conferences, and other events. The rest of the museum is divided into three exhibits: "Who We Are," "The Helen Keller Exhibit," "Change The World", and "Who Change The World".
