Tyson Foods plant employee crushed by machine, flown to hospital, fire officials say

The employee was awake when the medical helicopter transported him to the nearby hospital. Tyson Foods released a statement thanking the rapid response to the medical attention needed and stating that the safety, health and well-being of its team members is their top priority. The incident occurred at the Tyson Foods facility in Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, Ky. (WXIX) - A Tyson Foods plant employee was flown to the hospital Monday after being crushed by a machine, according to the Southern Campbell County Fire District.
Fire officials say the call came a little bit after 10 a.m.
The employee was awake when the medical helicopter transported him to the hospital, the Southern Campbell County Fire District said.
A spokesperson with Tyson Foods released this statement on Monday afternoon:
The safety, health and well-being of our team members is our top priority. Today, a team member at our Claryville, Ky., facility was injured. We are thankful for the rapid response of local EMS who were crucial to getting the team member the medical attention needed and we can report he is now in stable condition.”
The Tyson Foods plant is located on Bob Huber Drive in Alexandria.
